In all the years that I shopped at Kaufmann’s Downtown and Monroeville, I never knew the story of determination and triumph behind it.
Growing up in Squirrel Hill, I knew the the Kaufmann family existed and was important to the Jewish community but, never knew the specifics.
The store reminded me how much I miss Kaufmann’s - the TicToc Shop, the Vendome Tearoom, the gorgeous rugs.
Even when I lived in New York, I did my Christmas shopping at Kaufmann’s and Horne’s downtown.
I’m so sad that all the stores and the Kaufmann legacy are history.
Mine arrived lighting fast to Lancaster in 2 days. It fits my wife perfectly and the print is beautiful. I love all the design elements and it's very soft! The only thing I'd mention is that it's only been worn a few weeks and the fabric has begun to pull under the arms some already. Other than that though, it's perfect! Thank you!
Excellent addition to my home office. It adds a nice "Steelers" touch to the room. Very happy with my purchase of all six.
The replica Penguins jersey for my dog is well made, and fits his 13 lbs body well. We are both looking forward to watching the upcoming season cheering the flightless birds.
Bought as a gift. Definitely a good decision. Excellent read.
We Pittsburghers haved lived with steps all of our lives and Bob Regan's book is a gem for us! I only wish that there was an index so I could rapidly find steps and areas of the city. Other than that, thanks much!

I am currently reading Steel City. Having grown up in a Pittsburgh suburb it is wonderful reading its history. The book is well written and a very interesting and pleasant read.
This is fabulous. I have lived many places but started out in Pittsburgh. The minute I saw it I knew I had to have it. Plus fun fact the artist went to college together even in the same fraternity! Got to meet him once while we lived in LA
